Well, it’s been hot outside, so I hope you are out and about on two wheels. Just remember to ride like you are invisible to other vehicles.

We are up to XXXXX members!! Everyone needs to remember to talk to your fellow riders about the importance of ABATE!!

Our chapter was able to present the Shriner’s with a mid-year check, to show our appreciation.

One of our members, Fred Laxton, is building us an interactive website. Thanks Fred!!

Our chapter just had it’s Night Poker Run. I ran the 2nd stop along with Craig, and let me tell you...It was a GREAT turnout! The 2nd stop was at Wild Country Saloon & Nightlife on Hwy. 20. They had a nice spread of wings, fries and chicken strips for the poker run participants.

Switching gears a little...

While working on this newsletter I got a call I didn’t want. A dear friend of mine called to inform me that Danny Pittman and Deana Hyatt had been in a motorcycle wreck. My heart stopped. I’ve known Danny Pittman for over 18 years...and for someone that is just 28...that feels like my whole life. Deana is doing great, she’s going to Physical Therapy for her leg injury. Danny is also doing PT. He’s anxious to get back on two wheels. We are VERY lucky to still have Danny and Deana with us... And I just wanted to remind everyone that it only takes a second for another motorist to NOT see us!

CHAPLAIN'S CORNER

Well, it has been a hot summer and all my rallies that I attend are done until Sept.. The last time I wrote to you, I spoke of Hell and that it is a place no one really wants to go to. You have heard most of your life that God loves us so much and many of us think that God loves us so much that He will not let us go to Hell. What we forget is how righteous God is and the only reason we will go to Hell is because of what decision we make while we are alive. It is up to us right now to make the right decision (2 Co 6:2). God here tells us " now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation" It is up to each one of us to make decisions in life. We make decisions every day and most of us have not made the most important one of all. The one to accept Christ as Savior. If you have any questions, just call me at 864-270-1472 any time.
